The Walnut Chess Set boasts a 20-inch wooden board with inlaid squares, featuring Walnut for the darker squares and Maple for the lighter ones, creating a visually stunning and functional playing surface for your Chess Pieces. Crafted with precision in Spain, this high-quality board ensures durability and longevity, promising years of enjoyment. Paired with the board is a weighted set of Sheesham Staunton chess pieces in the distinguished Zagreb design, also known as the Zagreb 1959 Series, paying homage to the world championship tournament held in Croatia in 1959. These pieces exhibit a distinctive aesthetic, with the top portion of the king, queen, and bishop adorned in the opposition color, while the knight showcases intricate carvings reminiscent of Russian chess piece designs. Meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans in Amritsar, India, each piece is carved from specified wood blocks to meet exacting standards of quality and craftsmanship. Staunton chess pieces are all manufactured by skilled craftsmen in Amritsar, India.
