A set with vibrant and attractive colours along with each piece perfectly and intricately fitted to precision by the most highly skilled and experienced craftsmen.

We have here the Professional Staunton chess pieces or sometimes regarded as the Paul Morphy Series of 1884. These particular chess pieces are carved from blocks of wood. This particular series of chess pieces is named after a famous American Chess player called Paul Charles Morphy who sadly passed away in 1884. Regarded as one of the greats of his generation Morphy had an excellent yet brief career in chess. Morphy gained his true status after consistently defeating some of the chess greats of his type, in particular Hungarian chess great Johann Lowenthal. These weighted chess pieces are carved in honour of the late great Paul Morphy, using the highest and perfect quality of woods and polished with a smooth yet natural finish. Each piece is also padded with a thick green felt to prevent any damage to the chess board.

We also include a wonderfully veneered chess piece storage box, made from walnut wood. The storage box is large and compatible enough to store pieces as small as 3 Inch to as large as 4 Inch. The storage box is also padded and coated in black velvet felt to prevent any damage to your chess pieces.
